Extra practice time for Sonoma

IndyCar drivers will be given additional practice time at next weekend's Sonoma race to ensure that everyone has an equal chance to adapt to new modifications to the circuit layout. The first 30 minutes of the opening practice session on IndyCar weekends are usually restricted to cars outside the top 10 in the points. However, the series has announced that drivers will be given an extra set of tyres and be allowed to run the entire opening session regardless of their position in the standings
