Post-Katrina School Firings Were Wrong, Judge Finds

After Hurricane Katrina shut down the city in 2005, thousands of New Orleans school employees lost their jobs. A Louisiana judge as awarded more than $1 million to seven of those people who filed a class-actin lawsuit. The judge's ruling clears the way for damages to be awarded to others.
